Fall Baseball

Non-member teams are welcome to participate in ENYTB's fall baseball offerings. ENYTB has two basic registration options for fall baseball.

• OPEN PLAY

• TOURNAMENT PLAY

All fall tournaments are conducted over 5 consecutive weeks with options for both Saturday only play and Sunday only play.

Teams can choose a combination of both.

Except for tournament play, ENYTB does not schedule teams for fall baseball play. Instead, teams are offered a choice of self-scheduling packages that include the same website tools that summer teams use to self-schedule extra games during the regular season. These are:

• ONLINE REQUEST BOARD

The ENYTB website includes a bulletin board for requests by teams who are seeking games. These requests include specific dates, time intervals, field availabilities and types of opponents preferred (age and skill level). This bulletin board, known as the GAME FINDER REQUEST BOARD, also is equipped with an automated search capability. Depending on the volume of such requests, it would be possible to create an entire schedule of open play from these requests alone.

• ADVANCED GAME FINDER SEARCH TOOLS

The ENYTB website also includes a pair of easy-to-use interactive search tools to help teams find competitively matched opponents that are available to play on selected dates/times, including the same dates/times as the team conducting the search. To make use of these tools, teams must provide the League Director with detailed team and home field availability information similar to summer teams. This information is used to construct website calendars. The advanced GAME FINDER tools search these website calendars as well as already scheduled games to locate all possible matches between the team conducting the search and all other opponents that match its search criteria. Teams then use the League Directory to contact those teams to schedule games. Upon agreement, the games can be added by either user to its online schedule. As soon as either team adds the game to its schedule, it appears on the online schedule of both opponents.

Two levels of scheduling service are available for open fall ball play.

• BULLETIN BOARD/POST ONLY

FEE - No charge.

Teams may contact the League Director to have their requests posted on the board. These teams will not have access to the ENYTB website or its fall team database but all ENYTB website activated teams will have access to their request(s) and contact information. Interested teams will then contact them. This service is available at no fee.

• FULL SELF-SCHEDULING CAPABILITY

FEE - $25/Owner and $25/Team.

Teams are given full access to ENYTB's website, including all GAME FINDER tools and the fall team database.

The Tournament Play option includes full access to ENYTB's website and fall team database. This option also includes entry in an ENYTB Fall Super Showdown Series Tournament. Each tournament consists of 9 teams and is conducted on 5 consecutive weekends. Depending on interest, there are both Saturday and Sunday Tournaments. The format for Round 1 is round-robin play consisting of a split DH every Saturday or Sunday for 4 weeks. The results of Round 1 are used to qualify and seed teams for Round 2. The top 7 teams advance to single elimination play in week 5 to determine the finalists. The Championship Round is a Best-of-3 Championship Series (head-to-head double elimination). The entry fee covers all game costs (umps and balls) on the final weekend as well as team trophies and tournament t-shirts for the players and coaches of both finalist teams. The entry fee for fall tournament play is $250/team.
